Firstly, Happy New Year from everyone at Plantation! It’s been crazy busy since our last post and although its only been a few weeks, Christmas feels like a lifetime ago.
We’ve had a great start to the year - our Fashion for your Floor campaign and new-look website has been really well received. We’ve had loads of positive comments and feedback from customers and retailers since we launched and the Advent Calendar competition we ran on Facebook in the lead up to Christmas was a huge success receiving over 2,500 entries.
Next up, we’re heading off to gay Paris to attend uber cool MAISON&OBJET, the home and fashion showcase for Spring/Summer 2012. The boring bit - it’s an important international industry event for interior design and decoration and offers a unique opportunity to gain an overview of the trends in decoration, furniture and home furnishings, attended by retail and mail order companies, department stores, art galleries, interior designers and decorators.
The exciting bit - we’ll be looking for ideas and inspiration for future collections by catching 2012 Designers of the Year - Fernando & Humberto Campana, Hubert le Gall and Tokwin Yoshioka and by visiting the MAISON&OBJET Observatoire as it unveils the 2012/2013 Inspirations: CRAZY “Enough of gloom and doom in this crazy world! Now is the time for sweet delirium and highly euphoric abnormality. In the offbeat bazaar of our contemporary cabinet of curiosities, we don't take ourselves too seriously, and it feels crazily good.”
